The essence of New York City. The prominent features of this picture, such as the crowds of people, the vibrant colors of Times Square, and the yellow taxi cabs bring about the city's exuberance.
Strange Faces. The element of design is produced through the many lines that draw the viewer's eyes throughout the photograph of Town Hall, a popular host for theatre, dance, comedy, etc.
Levels. The positioning of the buildings and their different sizes and levels create negative space, allowing for different shapes and designs to be visible in the photograph taken on the High Line, I also sold this photograph to a volunteer at Furniture Sharehouse.
Contorted. The shape of the building on the High Line and the point of view from which this picture was taken, allows for interesting shapes to be created from the negative space. In addition, the windows and lines on the building draw the viewer's eyes up and around the photograph.
Serenity. The photograph inside Central Park depicts a serene environment in the middle of a busy city. The reflection on the water provides a sense of space and a calming ambience in an area that is surrounded by vivid colors and trees.
Arms or Branches? The viewpoint of the tree allows the viewer to see the movement of the branches and the shapes they can create. In addition, the texture and lines found on the tree allow the viewer's eyes to travel throughout the image, taking in the rich color of the leaves and the structure of the tree in Central Park.
Scenic Subway. The various lines found throughout the image add to the design element of the photograph. The lines at the top of the strucutre create different shapes and designs, while the lines in the barricades allow the viewer's eyes to travel up and down

Series of Windows. The point of view that this picture was taken and the different levels in the building allows depth to be given to the image. In addition, the windows create lines the draw the viewer's eyes up.
This image utilizes negative space that creates shapes around the building.
The texture found on the poles and the garage door adds depth to the photo.
